A fine mid 19th century German papier-mâché Zouave foot soldier nodder, with brown painted eyes, finely painted brown brows, strong nose, flocked moustache and chin puff, turban, blue and red uniform with backpack, three separate vessels hung from body, right arm raised and bent resting on rifle, turned wooden base with ball feet —11 ¼in. (28.5cm.) high (replacement guns, slight excellent restoration)
