A mid 19th century Thüringen composition and wood hand cranked French drummer toy, with dark blue tunic, red trim, red trousers, black shako, drum and sticks, standing on an orange painted wooden box with painted grass top, a small metal crank handle causing the soldier to beat his drum —8 ¾in. (22cm.) high (some crazing and flaking, some loss to face)
