A late 19th century Thüringen Mr Punch type character nodder candy/sweet container, with typical large nose and broad grin, dressed as a Spiv, blue cap with bobble, brows jacket, striped trousers and waistcoat with watch on chains, nodding head, holding hands out to hold, possibly what was in the container and standing on a brown painted circular wooden box —10 ¼in. (26cm.) high (box base probably replaced, some wear)
