Five late 19th century German wooden Zouaves, probably Seiffen/Olbernhau region, with moustache, pegged nose, tall fezs, groove down middle of pantaloons and trousers, separate applied feet, an officer with sword and extra yellow ‘gold’ braid and four men, one with rifle and three with backpacks and circular wooden stepped base —5 ¼in. (13.5cm.) high (one edge of base, three rifles and one backpack missing)
