A rare John Marshall 'The Doll's Library', circa 1815, a wooden box 'glazed' bookcase with sliding lid printed with a mother teaching a child, 'The Doll's Library' above and glazed upper with shaped pediment, opening to reveal a drawer holding paper alphabet tiles and two part section above with books 1 to 6 with different coloured covers and illustrations with titles and another unillustrated book the 'History of Birds' --4 1/4in. (11cm.) height of box (some old woodworm, most books with damaged or taped spines, a few pages loose or missing) - a similar example can be seen in London's Victoria and Albert Museum
