A WWI Royal Flying Corps Medal Group, awarded to Captain Arthur H Measures, comprising Cbe (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), an MBE (1st Type Military Division), Monstar with Rosette and 5th Aug-22nd Nov 1914 clasp, British War, British Victory with Oak Leaf, and French Medaille Militaire, complete with miniature group, plus an Egyptian Order of the Nile Grand Cross (AF), buttons, epaulettes, silver RAF sweetheart brooch, 1914 Christmas Tin, a silver presentation caddy, inscribed 'Presented to Wing Commander A.H Measures, CBE, by the Staff of Associated Airways Joint Committee 1947, hallmarked Sheffield 1946 by Walker & Hall, silver hip flask, Sheffield 1937, by James Dixon & Son, a selection of black and white photographs, paper ephemera, a Proclamation dated 1663 and more, Measures was attached to the Egyptian Group in the Middle East, also sold in this lot are a vast number of Diaries written by his son, who was a Spitfire Pilot, 1940s-1960s (parcel)
