She was the eldest of three children followed by a sister and then the vendor's grandad was the youngest of the three. They were a very close family and remained close all through their lives. The whole family moved to Bournemouth soon after 1910. Alice was very arty. She studied art, drawing and painting and was quite accomplished throughout her life. She married an architect who designed and build the house they lived in. They had no children. She was a member of the Townswomen’s Guild for many years. With her husband they won several medals and competitions in ballroom dancing and they were both into amateur dramatics and visiting the theatre. In later life she was into family history, flower arranging and gardening and acquired quite a collection of teapots. She died on 28th of July 1990.
