An 1830s Sonneberg papier-mâché and wood hand-cranked mechanical toy of a shepherdess, the seated young woman in moulded summer dress with flowers in brown hair, tendrils painted onto the side of her face, a longer curled ringlet down one side, a lamb climbing into her lap, resting against a tree stump with one branch protruding above her head, wood shaving leaves and a crook, seated on an orange painted wooden box with green slightly textured grass top, when the wire handle is cranked the woman moves her arm pointing at the lamb —7in.
